Miss Marliss Haselow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Haselow, route 2, Spencer,
became the bride of James C. Knoll, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Knoll, Granton
(Clark Co., Wis.) The ceremony was performed Saturday, Oct. 13, 1962, at two
o'clock in the afternoon. Officiating at the rites, during which Mr. Haselow
gave his daughter in marriage, was the rev. A.M. Moldenhauer from the Trinity
Lutheran Church in Loyal. The altar was decorated with a Bethlehem star, red,
bronze and white mums and white hygenraniums. Miss Julie Ann Vajgrt was the
organist and Mr. Vern Dahlby sang "I Love Your Truly" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The bride entered the church carrying an arrangement of red roses and white
carnations. She wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon organdy. It
was designed with scalloped Sabrina neckline. The bouffant skirt had nylon
organdy and galoon lace panels over taffeta and Chantilly flounce lace ruffles
cascading down the back. Flowing from her pearl crown was a nylon sheer
fingertip veil.
Miss Carol Haselow, Colby, was the maid of honor. Miss Judy Englebretson,
Greenwood, Miss Veryl Haselow, Spencer, were the bridesmaids. They each carried
floral arrangements of pompons and yellow carnations. Their street length
dresses were royal blue with the maid of honor's being fluer brocade and the
bridesmaids' were faille taffeta. The dresses had fitted cummerbunds with wide
bows and sashes and fully gathered skirts. Their headpieces were sprays of
pearlized orange blossoms with rhinestones, to which face veils were attached.
Gordon Haselow, Spencer, was the best man. Donald Knoll, Granton and Richard
Simonson, Loyal, the groomsmen. Howard Jennings and Dale Clintsman were the
ushers.
A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, followed by a wedding
dance that evening at the Granton Village Hall.
The bride is a 1962 graduate of Loyal High School. The groom is employed at the
