Loos, Gladys (12 JAN 1904 - 1 FEB 1963)
Funeral services for Mrs. Sherman Loos, 59, who died at her home in Colby Friday
evening, Feb. 1, 1963, were held Monday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Lulloff Funeral
Home in Colby.
The Rev. Ralph Koelemay officiated and burial was made in the Colby Memorial
Cemetery. Pallbearers for the interment were John Lindsay, Frank Hunt, Clarence
Nelson, Howard Bane, Wilbur Kuehnast and Alfred Scheel.
Mrs. Loos, the former Gladys Fasbender, was born Jan. 12, 1904, at Dorchester
(Clark Co., Wis.). She received her education in Abbotsford and Dorchester
schools. On May 20, 1923, she and Sherman Loos were united in marriage at
Marshfield. They have made their home in Colby ever since, where Mr. Loos has
been associated with the Loos Machine Shop.
She was a member of the Colby Methodist Church, the Eastern Star chapter at
Abbotsford, the Shrine Auxiliary at Marshfield and the White Shrine of Jerusalem
at Wausau.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, David Loos of Lake Elmo, Minn.;
one grandchildren; a brother, Lester Fasbender of California; and two sisters,
Mrs. Leonard (Orla) Wilson of California, and Mrs. Tom (Roetta) Fitzgibbons of
Oshkosh.
Her mother, Mrs. Hanna Fasbender of Oshkosh, also survives.
The family asked that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be
designated for the Shriners Hospital for Cripple Children at Minneapolis.
