Schuh, Vernice (7 FEB 1913 - 6 FEB 1963)
Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Schuh, 49, of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), who
died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 1963, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, were held
Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.
Mrs. Schuh became ill at her home Tuesday, and was taken to the hospital, where
she died the following morning at 1:20 a.m.
The Rev. John B. Pionion officiated at the services Saturday at 10:30 a.m., and
interment was made in the church cemetery. A general rosary services was held
Friday evening.
The body lay in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.
The Pallbearers were Donald Sommers, Vernon Sommers, Alois Beyerl, Albert Weix,
Roland Hake and Henry Untiedt.
The former Vernice Sommers was born Feb. 7, 1913 at Middleton, Wis., the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sommers. She received her education at
the Woodland High School, the Colby High School and Taylor County Normal School
at Medford.
On Sept. 21, 1934, she and Henry Schuh were married at St. Mary's Catholic
Church, Colby. After their marriage, the couple settled on a farm in the town of
Green Grove, and have lived there since.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three children, Robert, Mary and
Phyllis, all living at home. She also leaves on sister, Mrs. Walter Brucks of
Eau Claire.
