LUCINDA WHEELER
Mrs. Wm. Wheeler died at the home of her son, Frank Wheeler, at
Thorp, Clark County, Wis. of Spanish Influenza, followed by a
stroke of paralysis on Oct. 22, 1918, and was buried beside her
husband at Christie, Wis., Oct. 24, 1918. Mrs. Wheeler was born
July 11, 1843 at Ticonderoga, N.Y. on the old Fort ground. She
spent her early days in Warren County, N.Y., coming west in 1889.
Mrs. Wheeler was the mother of four children, two of whom survive:
Frank Wheeler, of Thorp, Wis. and Karl Wheeler, of Warren County,
N.Y. She was a woman of sterling qualities, ever helpful in every
way.
