Mrs. H. J. Olson at Neillsville received a telegram Wednesday afternoon from Spokane, Wash., stating that her grandfather Torger Anderson, was not expected to live at Spokane, Wash. She left for Spokane on the 2:00 A.M. train Thursday, but did not find her grandfather alive, as another telegram Thursday stated that he had passed away Thursday morning. Mrs. Olson continued her trip and will be in Spokeane making funeral arrangements and settling up her grandfather's business.
Mrs. H.J. Olson and her sister, Mrs. Ray Herring, of Chicago, are
the only survivors of the Torger Anderson family. The deceased was
86 years of age and had lived in the west for nine years. Previous
to this, Mr. Anderson lived on a farm three miles west of Greenwood
for seven years and was known to most people in this vicinity.
The body will be brought to Greenwood for burial.
