GREENWOOD RESIDENT DIES


Mrs. Emma Bostwick, 88, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 1975 at the Neillsville nursing Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Antrim officiated. Rinka Funeral Home was in Charge of arrangements.


Emma Bostwick (Flagg) was born in Janesville on April 4, 1887. She came to Greenwood with her parents in 1904. She was married in 1913 to Charles Bostwick, who preceded her in death in 1954. They farmed in the Town of Eaton for 30 years, retiring in 1953. They continued to live on the farm until entering Neillsville Nursing Home in 1969.


She was a member of the United Methodist Church.


She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hatton, route 2, Greenwood. One brother preceded her in death.


Pallbearers were Frank and Donald Hatton, Aage Nielsen, Henry Nielsen, Harold Dillenbeck, and Fred Clintsman. The organist was Mrs. Richard Korn and the singer was Mr. David Schroeder. He sang Rock of Ages and What a Friend We Have in Jesus .
