Delmer Augustine (1923 - 2001)

OWEN - Delmer W. Augustine, 77, formerly of Curtiss, died April 22, 2001, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Curtiss. Burial will be in St.

Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, North Green Grove. Military graveside rites will be performed by Colby VFW Post 2227.

Visitations will be from noon until service time Tuesday at the church.

The Maurina Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.

Delmer was born Nov. 3, 1923, in Colby to Alfred and Amanda (nee Conrad) Augustine. He married Betty Luedtke, who died in 1974. He later married Amanda Steinbach.

Delmer was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a cheesemaker, retiring from the AMPI plant in Abbotsford in 1985.

Delmer is survived by his wife three daughters, Judy (Dale) Christophersen of Wausau, Donna (James)Rasmussen of Owen and Karen (Larry) Soyk of Abbotsford six grandchildren and two sisters, Erma Schultz of Colby and Lucille Umlauft of Marshfield
