FORMER LOYAL RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Alice Beckert, 58, of Dickinson, N.D.
passed away suddenly Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, 1975 while visiting
at the home of her son, Donald, in Dickinson. She was 58 years
old.
She was born in Loyal, Clark County on March 6, 1917 to the late
Henry and Elsie (Clemtson) De Young. At an early age she moved with
her parents and sisters to New London, Wis. and received her
education there, graduating in 1935.
Her marriage took place at New London on Aug. 31, 1940 to August
Beckert, who preceded her in death on May 1, 1959. Survivors
include two sons, Donald of Dickinson, N.D. and Duane of Jamestown,
N.D. one daughter, Georgette (Mrs. Leroy Fettig) of Hebron, N.D.
eight grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Katherine)
Davel of Loyal, Mrs. Marie Paulson and Mrs. Victor (Frances)
Diestler of New London and Mrs. Willard (Mabel) Wied of
Clintonville.
Services were held at the Cline and Hansen Funeral home Thursday
afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was in the Floral Hill Cemetery
at New London.
