OBITUARY OF J. J. BAESCHLIN
John Jacob Baeschlin, oldest son of Jacob and
Dorothea Weber BAESCHLIN, was born in Wauseon, Fulton County, Ohio,
February 9, 1856 and passed away at his home in Greenwood at 11:30
A. M. on Thursday, August 9, 1934, at the age of 79 years and 6
months.
In early manhood his parents moved near Sedalia, Missouri, and in
1884 they came to Wisconsin by team and lived for three years on
the farm known as the Vivian CARTERON farm.
He was united in marriage to Miss Matilda FRICKE in 1894 and
settled on their farm in the town of Eaton where they resided until
two years ago when they moved to Greenwood. Mr. BAESCHLIN has been
ill for four and one-half years with Parkinson's disease which
followed an attack of influenza.
Tho this union were born three daughters, Dorothy, Mrs. R. N. STACK
of Plover, Wis. Josephine of Ashland, Wis Ernestine of Chicago, Ill
four sons John of West Port, S. Dak. Neal of Bellmont, Mont Art at
home and Martin who preceded his father in death in 1919 in
Montana.
Mr. BAESCHLIN is survived by his wife, the above named children,
four grandchildren and a sister, Miss Barbara BAESCHILIN of
Owen.
Funeral services were held from the ZETSCHE home at 2:00 o'clock
and at the Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, Rev.
