Shirley Ballerstein (1949 - 1999)
Shirley Anna Ballerstein, 50, Dorchester,
Clark County, WI died Tuesday, Nov. 23 at St. Joseph's Hospital
Palliative Care in Marshfield.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Nov. 27 at St. Louis Catholic
Church in Dorchester, with Rev. James Schaefer officiating.
Maurina Funeral Home in Dorchester assisted the family with
arrangements.
The former Shirley Dukart was born April 15, 1949 at Dickenson, N.
D. to the late Peter and Anna (Kohler) Dukart. She attended
Owen-Withee schools.
Her marriage to Thomas Ballerstein, who survives, took place on
September 7, 1968 at St. Louis Catholic Church.
She was employed with Armbrust Meat Locker in Medford and later
with Streckert Manufacturing in Abbotsford.
She was a member of St. Louis Parish and Parish Council of Catholic
Women. She was a former member of the Dorchester Lioness publicity
committee. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cross-stitch, fishing,
camping, and the outdoors.
In addition to her husband survivors include, one son, Troy,
Dorchester one daughter, Tracy (Rodney) Kohl, Unity two brothers,
Vernon (Kathy) Dukart, Colby, and Francis (Tammy) Dukart,
Jacksonville, Fla. two sisters, Florence (Andrew) Hushka, Arvada,
Colo., and Rosemary Leichtman, Stetsonville and one
granddaughter.
