DIED--Barton, Henry (1908-1917)
Henry, the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Barton of Weston,
Clark County, was called to the great beyond Thursday evening,
April 26th, 1917. He was stricken suddenly Sunday afternoon and
grew gradually weaker until the end. The case was diagnosed as one
of spinal trouble and pneumonia and reaped its harvest swiftly and
surely. Henry was a bright capable little fellow, full of life and
spirit. He was nine years old the 11th of February and was an apt
little pupil of the Mound School, being in fifth grade. His eager
little face and winning ways will be greatly missed by his
schoolmates and friends. Besides these, he leaves to mourn his
early departure, a loving father and mother, a brother Elmer, a
sister Albertine, and many other relatives. The funeral was held
Saturday morning at ten o'clock from St. Mary's Church. Interment
was made in St. Mary's Cemetery. The many beautiful floral
offerings, and the large attendance at the church of sympathizing
friends showed the love and esteem in which little Henry was held.
The bereaved family and relative have the sympathy of all in their
great sorrow.
