OBITUARY OF MRS. WM. H. BEGLEY (1832-1921)
Mrs. Wm. H. Begley died at Seattle, Wash. Sept. 16,
1921.
Margaret Bennet (Begley) was born in Dublin,
Ireland, Aug. 1, 1832. She came to Eastins Corners, Ontario,
Canada, when nine years old. On Nov. 1, 1853 she was united in
marriage to Wm. H. Begley. They moved to Greenwood, Clark County in
1868 and in 1903 went to Washington, living in Ballard then moving
to Edmond, where she lived until two years ago when she went to
Seattle and remained until her death.
She leaves two sons, Geo. B. of Seattle, Wash., and Charles R. of
Missoula, Mont., one daughter, Mrs. E. J. Carpenter of Seattle. She
also leaves seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The greater part of Mrs. Begley's life was spent here in Greenwood,
where she was well liked and known.
The funeral was held in Seattle, Sept. 18 at 3:30 P.M.
Present at the funeral were the following members of her family:
the three children mentioned above, two grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
