MRS. AUGUST BEILKE DIES OF PNEUMONIA

Mrs. August Beilke passed away at her home on the West Side, Thursday, Jan. 3, 1929, the cause of her death being pneumonia. She had reached the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 3 days.

Deceased was born in Boringahagen, Permerania, Germany, Sept. 30, 1840. On June 3, 1867 she was united in marriage to Carl August Beilke. In that same year the couple came to this country and resided in Sheboygan county until 1871, when they moved onto a piece of land northwest of Greenwood, Clark County.

Mrs. Beilke was a pioneer of this vicinity and through hard work she helped her husband develop what is now one our ideal farms.

She was the mother of six children. Her husband and one child preceded her in death. Those remaining are Albert, Robert and Leopold at home, Mrs. Steinert of Ladysmith and Richard whose address is unknown. She also leaves many other relatives and friends.

Deceased was a kind and loving wife and mother and her death will be keenly felt by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held from Immanuel Reformed Church on the West Side yesterday afternoon, Rev. O. Vriesen officiating. The body was laid to rest in the West Side Cemetery.
