OBITUARY FOR CHRIST BOHNSACK
Christ Bohnsack passed away Friday evening Aug. 3rd at the home of
his son Julius Bohnsack in the Town of Weston, Clark County. His
death came after an illness of about eight weeks, which was caused
by a stroke of paralysis.
He was born in Germany in 1851. When a small boy he came with his
parents to this country and settled on a farm near Watertown,
Jefferson Co., where he grew to manhood.
In 2873 he was married to Ernestine Gruetzmacher and began
housekeeping on the home farm, where they lived until 1904, when
they came to Clark County and settled on a farm north of
Neillsville. For the last 12 years he and his wife have lived at
the home of their son Julius.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two sons, Julies and
William. Henry Preceded him in death last December, one son Edward
died in infancy. He also leaves seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 7th at 3:00 P.M. from the
Julius Bohnsack home, Rev. D.S. Householder officiating. The body
was laid to rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
DEATH OF C. BOHNSACK
Christian Bohnsack an old resident of the Town of Weston, Clark County, Wis., passes away Friday at his home on the farm of his son Julius, aged 77 years, 2 months, and 10 days.
Mr. Bohnsack had a stroke of paralysis about 8 weeks ago and has
gradually lost strength since. A second stroke came on Thursday and
he passed away Friday evening.
Deceased was born in Germany and came with his parents to this
country when he was small boy. The family settled in Jefferson
County, Wis., where he grew to manhood and was married. Mr. and
Mrs. Bohnsack and family moved to Clark County in 1901 and settled
in the Town of Weston. Twelve years ago the parents moved to the
home of the son Julius, another son, William, taking over the home
farm.
He is survived by his wife and two sons, Julius and William, both
of the town of Weston. One son Henry, who moved to Neillsville died
here a few months ago.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the home, Rev.
Houshoulder of Greenwood officiating. Burial took place in the
Neillsville Cemetery.
