Stanley J. Borowski, 80, Thorp, WI, died Tuesday, August 31, 1999 at Victory Medical Center, Stanley, WI.

Stanley was born April 21, 1919 in rural Thorp, WI, Town of Reseburg to Sam and Veronia (Karpinski) Borowski. He married Josephine Lendosky, July 5, 1941 at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp, WI. He farmed in the Town of Reseburg for more than 38 years.

Surviving are his children: Donald (Dorothy) of South Dakota, Susan (Richard) Lindstrom of Chippewa Falls, WI, Daniel (Gail) of Indiana, Joseph (Geri) of Thorp, WI, Tim of Wayzata, MN 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren one brother Frank (Dorothy) Borowski of Cadott, WI and two sisters: Mary (Walter) Burzinski of Stanley, WI and Nina (Ray) Hammond of Olympia, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Josephine May 3, 1990, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 2, 1999, 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church, Thorp with Rev. John Puerner officiating. burial will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Thorp. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Thorp Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.
