CHARLES BOSTWICK (1879-1953)


Greenwood - Funeral services for Charles Bostwick, 75, route 2, who died April 28, 1954, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in Grace Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Riley officiating. Burial took place in the Greenwood cemetery.


Pallbearers were Henry and Aage Neilsen, Harry Stafford, Fred Clintsman, Harold Dillenbeck, and Robert Fitzel.


Mrs. Donald Ellinton sang "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul", with Mrs. Dr. William Olson as organist.


Mr. Bostwick was born Aug. 23, 1879, in Princeton, Minn. Following his marriage Oct. 24, 1911, to Emma Flagg in Greenwood, Clark County, the couple moved to Medford, where Mr. Bostwick was employed as a delivery man for the grocery stores. In 1917, the couple came to a farm in the town of Eaton.


Mr. Bostwick is survived by his wife, a sister, Mrs. George Gemmeke, route 2, Greenwood, and two brothers and a sister, Jason, Lyle, and Agnes.


Out-of-town persons present at the rites were Mrs. S. B. Flagg and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wake, Sun Prairie; Mrs. Henry Weisensell and son, Jimmy, Columbus; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Dellebbeck and Mr. and Mrs. Orville Dimler, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Emery Starks, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Merryl Stanley, Chetek; and Mr. and Mrs. Craig Asplin and daughter, Kathy, Neillsville.
