OBITUARY OF MRS. JASON BOSTWICK (1900-1938)

Mrs. Jason Bostwick, 38, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, about midnight on Friday, Dec. 9, 1938. She had undergone an operation the preceding Sunday.


Elsie Berthold was born August 2, 1900 at Granton. From Granton she moved with her parents to Tioga where she was married December 24, 1919 to Jason Bostwick. After their marriage they resided west of Loyal for several years, later moving to a farm west of Greenwood where they lived for three years. They moved to the city of Greenwood five years ago.


She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Gladys, Beatrice and Delores and one son, Donald, all at home her mother, Mrs. Louise Berthold a sister, Miss Minnie Berthold, four brothers, Harry, Edward, Walter and Morse Berthold all of Tioga.


Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon, December 13, at 1:00 o'clock at the M.E. Church. The body was then taken to Tioga where a short service was held and she was laid to rest in the Tioga cemetery.


The pallbearers were Lou Dimier, Fred Schmidt, Oralle Chadwick, James Englebretson, Max Wright and Geo. Gemneko.
