Joan Boyles (1941-2000)
Joan D. Boyles, 59, Town of Maplehurst, died
Sunday, March 5 at Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 at
the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. Rose officiating.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time
of service on Saturday.
The former Joan Vanderhoof was born on January 1, 1941 at Spencer
to Dorothy (Oelrich) and the late Dale Vanderhoof. She attended
Spencer area schools and graduated from Spencer High School in
1960.
Her marriage to Carl E. Boyles, who survives, took place on August
7, 1964 at Spencer. They owned and operated a dairy farm in the
Town of Maplehurst for 25 years. She was also employed with Land O'
Lakes in Spencer, Havenet Nursing Home in Owen, and County Market
Foods in Medford.
She enjoyed collecting Avon products and stamps, and doing
puzzles.
In addition to her mother and husband, survivors include three
sons, Brian (Jean), Abbotsford, Clark County, W; Steven (Leslie),
San Angelo, Texas; and Kevin, Wausau; one sister, Ellen (Dennis)
Woodkey, Spencer; one brother, Dale, Jr. "Butch" (Wendy),
Marshfield and seven grandchildren.
