SCOTT R. BRANSTITER (1960-1993)


Scott R. Branstiter, 33, Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Greenwood, Clark County, died Friday, Aug. 20, 1993, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1993, at the Greenwood City Cemetery. Rev. David Sommerfeld officiated.


Scott R. Branstiter was born May 1, 1960, in Hawarden, Iowa, to Donald and Marily (nee Cain) Branstiter. He graduated from Greenwood High School and cosmetology school in Madison. After graduating from high school, he moved to Marshfield for one year before enrolling in cosmetology school in Madison. He graduated from cosmetology school in 1981 and worked as a hair stylist in Madison until moving to Atlanta, Ga., in 1982. He worked as a hair stylist in Atlanta until the time of his death. He was an active volunteer for AIDS Atlanta for two years, and a member of Atlanta Vineyard Church.


Survivors include two sisters, Pam Montemayor, Sheboygan; and Connie Sivertson, Cedarburg; and one brother, Marty Branstiter, Altanta, Ga.


He was preceded in death by his parents.


Rinka Funeral home made the arrangements.
