ROBERT SCHEEL, TOWN OF YORK RESIDENT DIES
Robert Scheel, 86, a former Town of York,
Clark County resident, who has been a resident of the Bryan Home of
Neillsville for the past 12 years, died at 8:50 p.m. Nov. 19, 1975
at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville.
Funeral services were held at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, on
Saturday, Nov. 22, 1975. Burial was made in the Lutheran Cemetery,
Loyal. Rev. Eugene Carlson officiated. Pallbearers were Walter
Redig Jr., Richard, Robert, and Dennis Redig, Kenneth Kilty Jr. and
J. R. Mead.
The Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal was in charge of arrangements.
Robert Scheel was born April 3, 1889 in the Town of Loyal, and
received his education at the Sherman and Mack schools.
He was married on April 3, 1912 to the former Sarah Klessig, who
preceded him in death. They farmed in the Town of York from 1912
until 1956. From 1960 to 1963 he lived in Florida with his son and
since 1963 has been living at the Bryan Home in Neillsville.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Julia) Kippenhan,
Greenwood, and Mrs. Walter (Edna) Redig, Marshfield, and one son,
Donald Scheel, Orlando, Fla., ten grandchildren, 18
great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, and 5 sisters
and 4 brothers.
