OBITUARY OF BERT BROWN (1882 - 1938)

Wisconsin (Clark County)
Bert Brown, son of George and Julia Thompson Brown was born at
Mankato, Minn., on January 8, 1882 and in 1868 he moved with his
parents to Neillsville coming to the vicinity of Greenwood in 1905.
He later moved to this city. About nine years ago he and his family
moved to Ojibwa, Wis., where they have since resided.
Mr. Brown passed away at Loretta, August 12, 1938 one day after his
passing of his brother Norman.
He is survived by his wife, 5 sons, Loren, Gordon, Bert, Kermit,
Neil and one daughter, Irene (Mrs. Geo. Kiolcheski) all of Ojibwa
one brother Hubert of Red Lake Falls, Minn., and one sister, Mrs.
Ella Short of Neillsville.
One son Russell and a daughter, Maude preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held from the local Methodist Church on
Tuesday afternoon, August 16h, Re. C.R. Gaylord officiating. The
body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The pallbearers were George and Fred Kocher, John Arends, Early
Stoniker, Chester Shields, and Peter Scherr.
