OBITUARY OF THEO BROWN
Theodore Brown, an old settler of Clark County, died at his home at Christie last Wednesday evening June 4, 1924. His death was caused from old age. He had been ailing for some time.
Deceased was born at Sandusky, Ohio, Aug. 9, 1836 and when 9 years
old came to Fond du Lac County, Wis., with his parents. On Feb. 14,
1866, he was united in marriage to Miss Maryett Ransom in the town
of Auburn, Fond du Lac County. In 1868 they moved to Michigan where
they resided seven years. Then they came to the town of Weston,
Clark County, which has been his home ever since.
He was the father of ten children. His wife died two years ago last
November. A daughter and a son also died several years ago.
Those left to mourn for him are Mrs. Alice Sischo of Rapid River,
Mich., Mrs. Luella Kaudy of Morse, Wis., Clarence of Gladstone,
Mich., Lewis, Elmer, Ellis, Roscoe and Mrs. Ethel Boon, all of the
town of Weston. Also, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
and one sister, Mrs. Almira Sischo of Salem, Oregon.
Services were held in the Christie M.E. Church last Saturday and
the body laid to rest in the Christie Cemetery. Rev. T.O. Thompson
Officiated.
