MRS. SAMUEL CHRISTIE PASSES AWAY SATURDAY
Mrs. Samuel Christie died at her home in the
town of Eaton, Clark County, Saturday, March 3, 1928, after being
ill for some time.
Adeline McKimm, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Samuel Mckimm, was born in
Wolford, Canada, Sept. 5, 1859. While a young girl she came with
her parents from Canada to Neillsville, Wis.
On April 3, 1878 she was united in marriage to Samuel Christie.
After their marriage they moved on a farm in the town of Weston,
where they resided for twenty years. They then sold this farm and
bought another one in the town of Eaton where they have resided
ever since.
She is survived by her husband and five children, Maude of Tacoma,
Wash., Mary of Los Angeles, Cal., Free of the town of Eaton, Philip
of Greenwood and Hugh at home. One son, Perry, preceded her in
death. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, five great
grandchildren, two brothers, James McKimm of Canada and Joseph
McKimm of Neillsville.
Mrs. Christie was a devoted wife and mother and had a large circle
of friends who also mourn her loss.
Funeral services were held from the local M.E. Church Tuesday
afternoon, Rev. D.S. Householder officiating. The body was laid to
rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
