OBITUARY OF MATTIE CHRISTOPHERSON

Miss Mattie Christopherson, oldest daughter of Peter and Karen Christopherson, was born in the town of Warner, Clark Co., Wis., three miles northeast of Greenwood, on June 17th, 1883 and passed away to the Great Beyond on July 12, 1926 at 3:15 P.M. at her home at Riverside, Montana after an illness of over a year, when death came to her relief.

Most of her life was spent in her old home near Greenwood, coming west in the spring of 1913.

Mattie was a kind and dutiful daughter and sister, always willing to lend a helping hand, and she will be greatly missed by her near relatives. Her mother passed away Feb. 11, 1901, and her father July 13, 1924.

She leaves four brothers and two sisters to mourn her departure, Carl Christopherson of Wildrose, N.D., John, Ole, Andrew, Clara and Mrs. Regina Wanderaas of Riverside, Mont., besides other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home July 14th, Rev. O. J. Hagen of Culbertson, Montana, officiating. The body was laid to rest in Sacred Heights Cemetery. Many friends gathered to pay their last respect to the departed. Rev. Hagen also held a comforting sermon at the grave, and the congregation sang, Nearer My God To Thee.
