LUELLA E. CLINTSMAN  (1901 - 1993)


Luella Elizabeth Clintsman, 92, Abbotsford, Clark County, formerly of Greenwood, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1993, at Continental Nursing Home, Abbotsford. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1993, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Rev. Jenny Schroeder officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Prior, Tim Kurth, Robert Goetz, Richard Goetz, David Clintsman and Doug Clintsman.


Luella Elizabeth Sharp was born Oct. 4, 1901, in Elgin, Neb., to Jacob and Sarah (nee Keyser) Sharp. She graduated from Greenwood High School and Stevens Point Normal School. She then taught school in the Loyal area. She married Fred Clintsman on March 28, 1923. They farmed until 1970. He preceded her in death in Feb. of 1979. She lived in Greenwood until entering the nursing home in 1992. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.


Survivors include four daughters, Marie Thompson, Abbotsford Irene (Willia) Hohman, Watertown Shirley (Ray) Kurth, Wausau and Nellie (Jim) Goetz, Minocqua one son, Ted (Bard) Clintsman, Wausau 14 grandchildren two step-grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren six step-great-grandchildren one brother, Louis Sharp, Ripon and nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband one son, Dale, in July of 1993 three brothers and four sisters.
Rinka Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
