OBITUARY--Dillenbeck, Albert (1862 - 1915)

Albert Dillenbeck of the Janesville settlement died at the Marshfield hospital Jan. 24, 1915, following an operation for appendicitis.

He was born on his parents farm near Janesville, Wis., Dec. 12, 1862, and lived there till twelve years ago when he moved to Clark Co., where he has lived since. He was married to Martha Gibson May 29, 1890. Besides a wife and two sons, Roger and Merryll, he leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Dillenbeck, two sisters, Mrs. Henry Carhart and Mrs. O. P. Gharst all of Janesvill, Wis., and a brother Henry Dillenbeck of Baraboo, Wis. The remains were taken to Janesville, Wis., where funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the home of E. G. Lowry, Rev. Kidder officiating. The deceased was a member of the Woodman Lodge No. 366, Janesville, Wis.

The pall bearers were Andrew Gibson, Frank Hatton and E. G. Lowry, brother-in-laws of the deceased. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery.

During Mr. Dillenbeck's residence here he was always considered a hard working and industrious man of character and integrity. He commanded the respect of those who knew him through his homest and upright dealings in all things. The community in which he has made his home the past dozen years, will miss him greatly, as well as the bereaved family, who will mourn his untimely departure for this life.
