MERRYL DILLENBECK (1899-1917)
This community was greatly shock to hear of the sudden death of
Merryl Dillenbeck which occurred last Saturday morning at 8
o'clock, after a brief illness. Merryl was but 17 years old and had
been a resident of this vicinity (Greenwood, Clark County) fourteen
years. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha Dillenbeck and one
brother, Roger, his father preceded him in death nearly two years
ago. The remains were taken to Janesville, Wis., Monday morning.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home
of his uncle, Evan Lowery, on 213 Washington St. The Rev. Charles
E. Ewing of the Congregational Church officiated. Interment was in
Oak Hill Cemetery, where he was laid at rest beside his father. The
pallbearers were six cousins. Mrs. Dillenbeck and son have the
sympathy of their many friends and neighbors. (Janesville
