"AUNT JANE" EDMONDS AT REST.

Having reached the ripe age of eight-five years, eight months and twenty-two days, "Aunt Jane" Edmonds passed from earth at nine o'clock last Thursday evening, Oct. 17, after being sick only about a week. In fact her sickness seemed to be a general breaking down of an otherwise well preserved and healthful life.

The funeral was held from the Grace M. E. Church at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. E. Kloster officiating. The church was beautifully decorated in honor of deceased's memory. The pall bearers were H. W. hunt, H. W. Varney, Jesse Crane, Hez. Hubble, G. S. Finkle and P. F. Simmons.

She was a sister of the late G. C. and Stephen Andrews whose deaths have occurred with the past thirteen months.

Deceased was born in Canada, Nov. 24, 1816, and was married to Caleb Edmonds in 1836, her husband having died about twenty-two years ago. She came with her husband to Clark county in 1866, settling on the farm still owned by her son Walter.
She was the mother of nine children, only six of whom are living.

For the past twenty-four years Mrs. Edmonds had been blind, yet with all of the inconvenience thus occasioned she was patient and could look on the bright side of things in a way that would be well for those having perfect physical sight to emulate.

The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in the Greenwood cemetery.
