Alan M. Ehlert (1951 - 2000)
NORTHFIELD -- Alan M. Ehlert, 49, of
Northfield, died Tuesday, December 26, 2000, at his home. Alan was
born on August 24, 1951, in Stanley, Wis., to Howard and Beulah
(Launspach) Ehlert. He graduated from Thorp High School and
attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, graduating with a
degree in mathematics. Alan married Connie Gaulrapp on August 19,
1978, in Eau Claire. Alan was employed with Finley Engineering in
Eau Claire for several years before moving to Kansas in 1986, where
he was employed with Sprint. Alan and Connie returned to Wisconsin
in 1996, and Alan was employed with Tri-County Telephone. In
addition to his wife, Connie, Alan is survived by four daughters,
Amanda, Rachel, Alison and Amy, all at home his mother, Beulah
Ehlert of Thorp four brothers, Paul (Pamm) of Johnson Creek, Wis.,
Richard (Kay) of Vesper, William (Dawn) and Brian (Michelle), both
of Thorp and five sisters, Judy (Bob) Mast of Oklahoma, Connie (Ed)
Gerl of Marshfield, Sue (Dennis) Romanowski of Medford, Nancy
Ehlert and Patti (John) Nowobielski, both of Thorp, Clark county,
WI. Alan was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will
be held on Saturday, December 30, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint
John's Catholic Church, with burial in Lincoln Cemetery, both in
Whitehall. Father James Arthur will officiate. Visitation will be
Friday, December 29, 2000, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jack Funeral Home in
Whitehall, where a Christian prayer service will be held at 7:30
p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to the services at the
church on Saturday.
