MRS. R.E. (MARTHA) LARSON SERVICES HELD
Mrs. Martha Larson, 82, Loyal, Clark County,
was found dead at her home on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1976 at 3 p.m.
Death was from an apparent heart attack. Burial was at Greenwood at
10:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20.
A memorial service was held a 2 p.m. Friday at the Free Methodist
Church, Loyal with the Rev. L. R. Luttig officiating. Rinka Funeral
Home was in charge of services.
Martha (Schultz) Larson was born in Chicago, Ill. on April 26,
1893. She received her education at Chicago Heights, Ill.
She was married to Richard E. Larson on Oct. 16, 1913 at Moline,
Ill. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1963. Mr.
Larson preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1965.
They came to Greenwood in 1919 and farmed in Greenwood, Town of
Beaver until 1935, when they moved to Loyal and farmed in the Town
of Loyal until 1956, when they moved to the City of Loyal and
retired.
Mrs. Larson was a member of the Free Methodist Church, the Flower
Club and the West Loyal Homemakers.
Surviving Mrs. Larson are three daughters, Mrs. Athalie (Fred)
Bennett, Loyal Mrs. Kay (Carl) Okonak, Eau Claire Mrs. Julie (Earl)
Schamehorm, Calif. two sons, Richard C., Peoria, Ill. and Dennis
W., Loyal.
Pallbearers were Eric Axelson, Morvin Benedict, Herbert Fenssome,
Bernard Clouse, Henry Kostlevy, and Howard Jennings.
