Erickson, Katherine (1924 - 1999)
Katherine B. Erickson, 74, Stanley, WI, Clark County, died
Monday, June 21, 1999 at her residence.
Katherine was born August 23, 1924 to Sprague R. and Pearl (Best)
Price. The family lived on a farm in the Eau Claire area until 1932
when they moved to the Boyd area. Kathy graduated from Stanley High
School in 1942. Kathy attended Teachers College in Eau Claire, WI
and taught school in Edson for 5 years. She was married to David
Erickson on August 15, 1948 at Stanley United Methodist Church in
Stanley, WI. She later taught in the Head Start Program for 3 years
and then was the Title I reading teacher in the Stanley Elementary
Schools for 9 years, retiring in 1981.
Survivors include her husband, David Erickson of Stanley, WI two
sons: Dennis Erickson and James (Robin) Erickson of Eau Claire, WI
two daughters: Ellen, Mrs. Bill Babbitt of Thorp, WI, Beth Young of
Stanley, WI 10 grandchildren: 2 step grandchildren, 1 great
grandchild two sisters: Mrs. Lois Larson of Sauk City, WI, Mrs.
Harriet Mohr of Stanley, WI two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Ruch (Ruth?)
Ann Price of Stanley, WI, Mrs. Delores Price of Boyd, WI. She is
preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Dean and Richard
Price and 1 daughter-in-law Susan Erickson.
Funeral services will be at the Stanley United Methodist Church,
Thursday, June 24, 1999, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Weaver
officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Stanley.
Visitation was from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 23 at
Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley.
