CLARENCE MARKEE


Clarence F. Markee, 60, Route 3, Greenwood, Clark County, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Mar. 12, 1976 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.


Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home, Owen, with the Rev. Eugene Antrim of United Methodist Church, Greenwood, officiating. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.


Kraut-Marina Funeral Home in Owen was in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Markee was born July 10, 1915, in the Town of Warner and was married to Lucille Englebretson June 5, 1943, at Greenwood. He received his schooling at Hemlock School and was raised in the Town of Warner, where he farmed his entire life.


Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Terry (Lillian) Hebert, Hancock, and Miss Becky Ann, at home two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Nina) Pederstuen, Knapp and Mrs. Dorothy Franz, Abbotsford his stepmother, Mrs. Susie Markee, Hillsboro three grandchildren, and six step-grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were four sisters.


Pallbearers were Dick Acker, Albert Pogodzinski, Fred Hilton, Fred Rayborn, Jerry Steffen, and Norman Behringer.
