LOREN GATES DEAD.
Loren Gates of Christie died Monday forenoon about 9:30 from
general debility and old age. Mr. Gates was over eighty years of
age and was one of Clark county's pioneers. He leaves an aged wife
to mourn, there being no children living, their only child dying in
childhood. S. L. Gates, who lives on the Eaton-Weston town line, is
a nephew of deceased.
The funeral was held yesterday (12/14/1904) from Christie M. E.
church, Rev. W. T. Hendren of Greenwood officiating.
