Clarence Edward Urch Sr. was born 22 May 1891 in New Lenox, Will Co., IL.   He was the youngest of seven children, was tall and of medium build with brown eyes and light colored hair.  His father was Henry Elijah Urch (1853-1930) who was a carpenter and his mother was Caroline "Carrie" B. Kemp (1855-1930). They married 11 Mar 1873 in Will Co., IL and both of them were buried in Lenox, IL.

Eunice A. Dickinson was born 23 Nov 1896 in IL, , the daughter of Horatio Nelson Dickinson (1869-1958) and Eva Lizzie Turner (1876-1970) who married News Years Day, 1896 in Will Co., IL. Eunice and Clarence married just prior to World War I, 28 Sep 1914 in Chicago.  Their daughter Alta V. was born that next year, 1915 in IL.  Marjorie L. was born the following year (2 Jul 1916) in New Lenox, IL. His draft registration indicated he claimed exemption on account of the need to support a wife and two children.   Doris B. was born 14 Jan 1918 in WI and Clarence Edward, Jr. was born 10 Feb 1920 in WI and their youngest daughter, Jean was born in IL in 1926.

October 1st, 1917, Clarence Urch purchased property from Fannie M. Pelto and the family soon moved to Hixon Twp., Clark County WI where they were farming 6 miles Northwest of Withee, not far from the French Town School, when the Tornado of 21 Sep 1924 destroyed their farm.  The twister cut a path a half mile wide in its work of destruction, leveling whole farms and hurling autos and human beings through the air.  It was estimated that at least 15 farms were in the path of the tornado and that property damage will be close to $500,000. Following the loss of their farm, the Urch family  returned to New Lenox and resided on Hickory St., next to his parents, Henry & Caroline.  Then to support his family, Clarence became a painting and decorating contractor.

Clarence passed away 25 Jan 1935 in Joliet, IL, four months before his forty-fourth birthday.   Eunice Agnes Osmus (born Dickinson) died 29 Nov 1974 in San Diego, CA at the age of seventy-eight. Their daughter Alta died 17 Mar 2003 in the Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL. Marjorie ended her life in Boulder City, NV 2 Mar 2001. Doris died in Las Vegas, NV 27 Sep 2007 and her younger brother, Clarence Edward Jr. was laid to rest on Christmas Eve 1999 in Clark, NV.
