Lucille M. Goebel (1938-1999)
Lucille Mary Goebel, 61, of Curtiss, died Sunday, July 18, at
Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. Funeral services were held
Wednesday, July 21, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen with
Rev. Darrell Mitchell officiating.
Burial took place in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Gilman.
Visitation and a Rosary service were held at Plombon Funeral Home
in Stanley.
The former Lucille M. Semanko was born June 24, 1938, in Gilman to
Lawrence and Isabel (Geist) Semanko. Her marriage to Edward Goebel
took place on February 19, 1956, at St. Mary's Church in Huron.
Following their marriage, she and her husband lived and raised
their family in the Gilman area and then moved to the Medford area.
She was employed by the US Postal Service for many years. Ill
health forced her retirement in 1992. They moved to Curtiss a short
time ago.
Survivors include her mother, Isabel Semanko of Boyd her husband,
Edward four sons, Larry (Milli) of Boyd, Dale (Jeannie) of
Lancaster, Calif., Wes (Sharon) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Gary
(Dee-Dee) Goebel of Owen three daughters, Cheri (Jarrod Hague)
Goebel of Chippewa Falls, Lori (Neil) Wegerer of Ogema and Chris
(Bob) Hansen of Owen three brothers, Clarence (Janice) of Thief
River Falls, Minn., Lawrence (Sue) of Eau Claire and Bill (Kathy)
Semanko of Junction City, Kan. and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Semanko, and two
sisters, Josephine and Darlene.
