Gosse, Margaret (1846 - 1933)

Mrs. Margaret Gosse, 86 years old, passed away at 8:30 pm Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Kummer, who resides on the Union road one-half mile north of the village of Kohler. She suffered a stroke last January and gradually failed since that time.

She was born December 29, 1846, in Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas. When she was one year old, her parents came to this country and settled on a farm in the Town Mosel where she lived practically all her life. On June 3, 1865, she was united in marriage to Henry Gosse who preceded her in death about 45 years ago. After having lived with her daughter, Mrs. Peter Moersch, in Milwaukee for a period of ten years she returned to Sheboygan on June 28, this year.

She is survived by four sons, August and Herman of Sheboygan, Fred of Cleveland and William of Colby, Wisconsin and three daughter, Mrs. Peter Moersch of Milwaukee, Mrs. Robert Kummer of Kohler and Mrs. E---- Mueller of Sheboygan. One son and on daughter preceded her in death. Sixteen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery.
