Robert E. Halida, age 54, of Plymouth, WI, died peacefully early Monday morning, November 15, 1999 at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 18, 1945 in Lublin, Wisconsin, a son of Edward
and Verna (Glende) Halida. He attended schools near Lublin. He was
married to Carolyn Hempelmen. They made their home in Sheboygan. He
later married Pamela Peterson. He had been employed at the Vollrath
Co. in Sheboygan for 34 years before ill health forced his early
retirement. On May 21, 1994 he married Jean Streblow at Salem
United Church of Christ in Plymouth. They made their home in
Plymouth. Bob had been involved as a coach in little league
baseball in Sheboygan for a number of years.
Survivors include his wife Jean three sons: Scott of Minneapolis,
MN, Randy of Cleveland, WI and Jeffrey of Sheboygan three
grandchildren: Breanna Herm and Kyle Halida both of Sheboygan and
Stacey Lynn Halida of Cleveland, WI his parents, Edward and Verna
Halida of Lublin, WI four brothers: Todd (Chris) Halida of Eau
Claire, WI, Terry (Cheryl) Halida of Chippewa Falls, WI, John
(Edie) Halida of Colby, WI and Walter (Vicky) Halida of For Wayne,
IN two sisters: Joyce Fettig of Marshfield, WI and Nancy (William)
Maas of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter
Tammy Halida and one brother Roy Halida.
Following cremation a Memorial service will be held Friday evening,
November 19, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ in
Plymouth. The Rev. James Hoppert Pastor will officiate. Interment
will take place in the Saron United Church of Christ Cemetery, Town
of Sheboygan Falls.
Friends may call at the church from 4:00 p.m. Friday until the time
of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be
established for the American Diabetes and Leukemia Assoc. and the
Dialysis Center at St. Nicholas Hospital.
