Martha E. (Sachs) Harper, 98, of Augusta, WI, died Friday, April 2, 1999 at the Augusta Nursing Home.
Martha was born to Carl and Wilhelmine Sachs, July 21, 1900 in the
Township of Reseburg, Rural Thorp.
On April 20, 1920, she was united in marriage to William McKinley
Harper at Thorp. In 1929 they moved to Eau Claire.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Wilhelmine
Sachs her husband William, three brothers, Walter, Otto and Elmer
Sachs four sisters: Amelia (Sid) Russell, Bertha (Dorman) Russell,
Mary (Henry) Tisdale and Minnie (Henry) Beranek. She is survived by
several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 7, 1999, 11:00 a.m. at
the Smith Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire with Pastor Howard Fehr
officiating. Inbterment was held at the Sylvan Cemetery in Township
of Reseburg, Rural Thorp.
