A GREENWOOD CITIZEN MEETS FATAL ACCIDENT
Tuesday of last week (Mar. 14, 1916) Mr. Joseph H. Hermann had the
misfortune to fall down stairs at the home of Dr. Kennedy with such
force as to break his neck. It is supposed he had arisen in his
sleep and accidentally stepped over the stairway.
Mr. Hermann was well known by all Greenwood Citizens, having been a
resident in this vicinity for more than eighteen years, a man of
genial disposition and a successful farmer.
He is survived by the widow, who resides in Columbus, a son, Frank,
and two daughters, Mrs. Eli Fritz of Columbus, and Mrs. Walter
Holstin of Marsall.
The son, Frank, accompanied by Walter Holstin, came to Greenwood
Thursday and returned to Columbus Friday morning with the remains,
where interment took place.
