Olga L. Hoeft (1901 - 1999)
Olga Louisa Hoeft, 98, of Abbotsford, died
Tuesday, June 1, at Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, at Maurina Funeral
Home in Abbotsford with Rev. Paul C. Hunsicker officiating.
Burial took place in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Donald Schaurer, Arvin Gosse, Joe Meyer, Udell Passehl, Eugene
Graffunder, and Dale Steinke.
The former Olga L. Steinke was born March 1, 1901, in the Town of
Mayville, Clark County, to Herman and Bertha (Durbarg) Steinke. Her
marriage to Theodore August Hoeft took place on June 14, 1919, in
Milan.
She and her husband farmed in the Town of Holton until 1937. They
then moved to Chippewa Falls and she worked at Presto Industries of
Eau Claire. She retired and they moved to Abbotsford in 1959. There
she was employed with the former Miller Bakery. She enjoyed crafts,
crocheting and quilting.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
Survivors include one son, Willard (Mary Lou) Hoeft of Winter a
daughter, Dorothy Harley of Maplewood, Minn. three grandchildren
four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore on December 8,
1982 one son, Howard A. Hoeft three brothers and three
sisters.
