OBITUARY OF WILLIAM A. HORN
William A. Horn, son of Frank and Louise
(Braun) Horn, was born in Sheboygan July 7, 1877 and came to this
area as a child with his parents when they settled on a farm in
Braun Settlement, Clark County. He received his education
there.
On Dec. 6, 1917 he was united in marriage to the former Emma Tanner
Erzinger at Greenwood.
The couple farmed in the town of Warner until 1944, when they
retired and moved to Greenwood. Mrs. Horn died June 25, 1947. For
the past four years, Mr. Horn made his home with his sister, Miss
Martha Horn.
Mr. Horn was a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, for
two weeks and 12 days ago was taken to the Memorial Hospital
Nursing Home at Neillsville.
He passed away there on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1961, at 9:30 A.M.
The body was brought to the Hill Funeral Home where it lay in state
until Saturday when it was taken to the Zion United Church of
Christ.
Funeral services were held at the church on Saturday at 2:00 P.M.,
Rev. Orval Egbert officiating. Burial was made in the Forest Hill
Cemetery at Braun Settlement.
During the services Miss Nettie Miller sang In the Upper Garden and
Some day He Will Make it Plain , accompanied at the organ by Mrs.
Daniel Olson.
The pallbearers were Theo. Braun, Hubert Horn, Otto Horn, Henry
Horn, George Poppe and Adolph Geisler.
He is survived by his sister Miss Martha Horn a stepson, Rudolph
Erzinger, Monroe and a brother Frank, Tacoma, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother Otto
and a sister Mrs. Bertha Karsten.

Erzinger, Monroe Mr. and Mrs. Harry Karsten, Miss Berverly Kraut,
Miss Bunee Kraut, Curtis Mrs. Ernest Boss, Abbotsford Rev. and Mrs.
Walter Horn, Minneapolis, Minn. Miss Minnie Horn, Wrightstown, Wis
Mrs. Donald Cox, Mr. Wm. Cook, Chicago, Ill. Frank Lentz,
Brodhead.
