JACOB HUNTZICKER DEAD.

"Jackie" Huntzicker, youngest son of Mr. Mary J. Root, by her former husband, Jacob Huntzicker, died at the home in Neillsville Monday, March 23, at 7:30, diabetes mellitus being the cause, a disease which had been coming upon him for a year or more, though the last sickness lasted but little more than two months. The body was brought to Greenwood Tuesday on the Fairchild North-Eastern train for interment in the family lot beside the father, the funeral services having been held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Shanks at 10 o'clock a.m., conducted by Rev. T. Grafton Owen of Arcadia. The funeral party, in charge of Capt. J. W. Tolford, was composed of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Root, F. J. Huntzicker, Josie Mead, Mrs. John Paulus, Mrs. Legare Potter, and Mrs. John Shanks of this city, who had been down helping during the sickness of deceased.

"Jakie," as everyone knew him, was born November 28, 1887, on the Jacob Huntzicker farm three miles south of Greenwood. He was afflicted with an impediment in his speech which greatly handicapped him, but withal was a happy lad and well liked by those who knew him. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of their many friends in Clark county and elsewhere.
