Aletha Jascor (1916 - 2000)
Former Town of Maplehurst resident Aletha M. Jascor, 83, died
Friday, Feb. 25 at the Memorial Nursing Home in Medford.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at
the Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Rev. Dennis Meulemans
officiating. Cremainal interment took place at St. Mary's Cemetery
in the Town of Holway.
Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on
Wednesday at Hemer Funeral Home.
The former Aletha Ball was born on April 10, 1916, at Monona, Iowa,
to the late William and Mattie (Boyer) Ball. She received her
education at the Redville School in the Town of Maplehurst.
Her marriage to Joe Jascor, who died December 3, 1983, took place
in 1935 at the Town of Maplehurst. They farmed in the Town of
Maplehurst for many years until their retirement. She also worked
for the Post Company and Master Package, both in Owen, Clark
County, WI, while farming. She served as treasurer for the
Riverside School until it was consolidated with Redville School,
and for the Town of Maplehurst for a period of time.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary (Chuck) Smith, Enid, Okla.,
and Joanne (Don) Krause, Minneapolis, Minn. one son, Kenneth,
Medford one sister, Viola Nichols, Atlanta, Ga. 14 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death
by one daughter, Patsy Morrissey in 1993 two grandchildren in
infancy one brother, Albert and two sisters, Edith Wenzel, and one
in infancy.
