Esper C. Jepsen--1925 - 1999
Esper Carl "Buck" Jepsen, 74, Wausaukee, died
on Monday, Dec. 6 at Dickinson Hospital in Iron Mountain, Mich.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 10 at Grace United
Church in Greenwood, Clark Co., WI with Rev. Mary Anne Conklin
officiating. Pallbearers were Gary Jepsen, Larry Jepsen, Lloyd
Dumke, Alyce Dumke, Gregory Gwiazda and Minnette Gwiazda.
Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood assisted the family with
arrangements.
Esper Jepsen was born on September 30, 1925 in Rib Lake to the late
Ed and Johanna (Johnson) Jespen. He was raised on a farm and
educated in Rib Lake area schools. Upon completion of his
schooling, he served in the 101st Airborne Division during World
War II. He participated in the D-Day Invasion and the Battle of the
Bulge.
After his discharge, he married Kathryn Minnette Stewart on June 3,
1947, who preceded him in death on September 21, 1964. He worked
most of his life in the cheese industry. On October 1, 1977, he
married Ann Marie Bornemann. After his retirement in 1990, he moved
to Wausaukee where he resided until the time of his death.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, working in his yard,
cribbage, and bowling.
He is survived by his wife Ann of Wausaukee two daughters, Alyce M.
(Lloyd) Dumke of Appleton and Minnette J. (Gregory) Gwiazda of
Chippewa Falls two sons, Larry C. (Sharon) of Greenleaf and Gary A.
(Kathleen) of Marshfield 12 grandchildren two great-grandchildren
and one brother Arthur (Geanne) of Minneapolis, Minn.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth, a grandson, Ryan,
and a sister, Marie Radtke.
