PROF. JOHN JUDGE PASSES AWAY
John Judge, one of the pioneer residents of
Augusta passed away at the General Hospital of Ashland on Tuesday,
October 10, 1933 following several months of ill health due to old
age. At the time of his death he had reached the advanced age of 81
years, 1 month, and 3 days.
Funeral services were held from M.E. Church at Augusta on Friday
afternoon.
The deceased was a successful band instructor and music teacher
during the past 50 years, teaching in nearly every town in this
part of the state. Years ago Mr. Judge instructed the Greenwood
band and at one time formed a high school band here. His many local
friends will be grieved to learn of his death.
