CLARA ERICKSON DIES FOLLOWING SHORT ILLNESS


Clara Erickson, 83, a resident of Black River View Apartments died on Monday, May 24, at Neillsville Hospital following a short illness.


Mrs. Erickson, the former Clara Gilbertson, was born Nov. 6, 1893 in Green County, at Argyle and received her education there. She was married on Feb. 23, 1916 to Thomas Erickson. They celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. They farmed in the Town of Loyal, Clark County until 1930, when they moved to Greenwood.


Services were held at 8:00 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Greenwood. There will be services on Thursday, at 1 p.m. at the Adams Lutheran Church, Blanchardville, with burial in the Adams Cemetery. Rev. David Wenger will officiate.


She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church, the Royal Neighbors and the Ladies Sewing Circle.


Survivors are her husband, Tom one son, Burnell, Pardeeville one brother, Oliver Gilbertson, Argyle one sister, Mrs. Mabel Ulsrud, Argyle 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, one son, one sister and four brothers.
