EMMA KIPPENHAN


Funeral services were held at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, Clark County on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 1987 for Emma Kippenhan, 71, route 2, Greenwood. She died Friday, Sept. 18 at 6:10 p.m. at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. Erwin Hoest and LeRoy Sager presided at the service, with burial at Westside Cemetery, Greenwood.


Pallbearers were Jim Williams, Tom Briski, Richard Williams, Arthur Cram, Albert Ott and James Berthold.


Emma Williams was born July 28, 1916 in the town of Reseburg to Rowland H. and Bessie (Thompson) Williams. She was educated in the Goff school. On June 26, 1939, she and Alvin Kippenhan were married in Greenwood. They farmed all their lives in the town of Mead. She was a Farm Bureau leader.


Survivors include one son, Edwin (Kip) Kippenhan, Yigo, Guam three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Cram, Neillsville Mrs. Ethel (Louis) Zink Jr., Berlin and Mrs. Dorothy (Wendel) Ott, Neillsville two brothers, Dewey Williams, Thorp and Walter Williams, Riverton, Wyoming four sisters, Miss Della Williams, Riverton, Wyoming Mrs. Donald Berthold, Greenwood Mrs. Dalton (Grace) Bartlett, Colorado Springs, Colo. and Ms. Hester Williams, Delta, Colo. 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 17, 1978 two brothers and two sisters.


Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood, was in charge of arrangements.
