Russell Klug (1920 - 2001)
ABBOSFORD - Russell K. Klug, age 80, of
Abbotsford, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at his home.
A Memorial Service for Russell will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at
the Curtiss Alliance Church in Curtiss with Pastor Carl Swarr
officiating.
The Cremation Society of Wisconsin is serving the family.
Russell was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Owen, to William Edwin and Edna
(nee Davidson) Klug. he graduated from Owen High School and the
University of Wisconsin in Madison. He married Betty Rayment on
Sept. 30, 1967, in Neillsville.
He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving from 1940 to 1946 and
seeing action in Pearl Harbor in 1941. He was employed at
Weyerhaeuser Lumber in Marshfield, retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Betty Klug, of Abbotsford
two sisters, Shirley Cleveland of Owen and Bernice Sobon of
Portland, Ore. several nieces, nephews, other relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents sister, Vivian Barrett and
brother, Wilber.
