MRS. JOHN KROKUS DIES SUDDENLY
The entire community was grieved and shocked last Thursday morning
when they heard of the sudden death of Mrs. John Krokus.
Mrs. Krokus was taken suddenly ill at her home at Minneapolis last
Wednesday evening and died with a few hours. The cuase of her death
being internal hemorrhage.
Mrs. John L. Krokus, formerly Laura Loos, was born in Alma, Wis.,
May 7, 1889. She attended the graded school at Port Hope, Michigan
and graduated from High school at South Milwaukee in 1907. She
attended Normal for one year and since then lived with her mother
in Greenwood, Clark County until her marriage.
Her father and two sisters preceded her in death in the year 1912.
Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss her mother, Mrs.
Emma Loos, a sister, Ruth Wiltsey, and a niece, Gladys Wiltsey of
Greenwood, two brothers, Roland of Greenwood and Alfred of Dallas,
Texas, another niece and two nephews, besides a host of
friends.
Deceased was a lovable wife, daughter and sister and her untimely
death is keenly felt by the sorrowing relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from the home of her mother Sunday afternoon
at two o'clock. The body was then taken to the Reformed Churchs
where services were conducted by Rev. O. Vriesen. The body was laid
to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
