Clarence Kurowski (1917 - 1999)
Clarence Kurowski, 81, Thorp, WI, died at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 1999 at Victory Medical Center, Stanley, WI.
Clarence was born August 17, 1917 in Chicago, IL to Jospeh and
Stella (Barnett) Kurowski. He worked as a machinist at Carrier
Corp, Chicago until his retirement when he moved to Thorp in 1989
from Chicago, IL. Clarence was a veteran of World War II. He served
his country in the Army, serving 2 1/2 years overseas in Europe,
Africa and Middle East Theatre. He was proud to serve his country.
He loved the out-of-doors and wildlife. He was a lifetime member of
the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are three sisters and one niece. He was preceded in death
by his parents.
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 30, 1999, 10:00 a.m.
at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Lublin, WI with Rev.
Marion Tolaga officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Lublin. Thorp American Legionnaires and VFW Members served as
pallbearers.
